Recognition

Each fall, we hold an annual Service Awards Banquet to recognize employees for years of service and for being engaged in the mission of WRC. The prestigious PRIDE Awards are also given out to the leader and staff member who really go above and beyond.

Employees also have the opportunity to earn Pay for Performance, a higher wage increase at their annual evaluation, in recognition of their extra efforts.

Job Training

WRC Senior Services values life-long learning for our staff. Throughout the year, we offer educational opportunities to help you grow and develop in your chosen career. WRC can also offer tuition assistance and scholarship opportunities.

Benefit Time

WRC Senior Services provides paid time away from work to regular full-time and regular part-time employees. An employee may use this time for any purpose they wish, including vacations, unpaid holidays, illness or time away from work for personal or family matters.

Insurance Coverage

The following insurances or programs are available after an employee has completed three to six months of employment:

Life Insurance

A life insurance policy is provided and fully paid for by WRC for employees who have completed three months of employment. The amount of coverage is the annual salary rounded up to the nearest $1,000. Additional life insurance can also be purchased.

Short Term Disability

All full-time employees after completing six months of employment have short-term disability plan coverage at no expense to them, effective the first of the following month. Additional short-term disability coverage can also be purchased.

Retirement Plan

WRC Senior Services has a 403(b) defined contribution retirement plan. You can elect how much you want to contribute and WRC will match a percentage toward your contribution.

Flexible Spending Accounts

Flexible Spending Accounts allow you to set aside part of your salary before taxes to pay for health and dependent care expenses.

Wellness Programs

WRC offers free wellness programs and activities throughout the year to help you meet your wellness goals and improve your health.

Senior Care Volunteer Opportunities

Volunteers are always needed and greatly appreciated throughout the WRC organization. Our volunteers use their special talents and gifts to make an extraordinary difference in the lives of our residents and clients. Whether you want to volunteer daily, weekly, monthly or once in a while, we have a wide variety of senior care volunteer opportunities available:

  • Office and reception work
  • Assisting with recreation and entertainment activities
  • Providing companionship to residents by visiting, reading, playing games, etc.
  • Hospice volunteer – goes into patient homes and provides companionship and a listening ear, runs errands and provides a break for family caregivers
  • Promoting public awareness of WRC Senior Services in the community
  • Helping raise money for charitable care
  • Serving on WRC’s board of directors
