The kids from Brookville HS (Special Education Class) came in on Monday, Feb 11th to meet with the Laurelbrooke residents and read to them. They also brought in cookies for valentine’s day for them to decorate together.
We had a valentines party on February 15th with Laurelbrooke and McKinley Health Center residents. Everyone voted and the Queen was Doris Casterwiler and the King was Jan Bosak. They received crowns and stuffed animals. They also had cupcakes & Oreos and listened to music.
Laurelbrooke and McKinley residents play a Brown Bag Trivia game where they answered trivia questions, then guessed the hidden item. Prizes were awarded to those who guessed correctly.
The Highland Oaks Valentines Day party was rockin’ and rollin’ with a singalong to popular Elvis songs.
On Saturday, February 9th, the residents of Highland Oaks celebrated National Pizza Day with freshly made pizzas, hand tossed by Administrator Shelby Groff.
On Friday, February 1st, residents at Laurelbrooke got an escape from the cold with a tropical themed Luau party. They enjoyed sweet pineapple desserts, drank punch and played beach volleyball.
