WRC Senior Services’ Director of Home and Community Based Services, Julie Swonger, was recently nominated and successfully appointed to the Brookville Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors at their recent meeting.

Swonger was one of the numerous candidates vying for a seat on the board. Julie, a native of the Brookville area, has worked in this area for over 30 years. She’s also deeply rooted in the community. She’s familiar with the local economy. Swonger has served on numerous boards including:
- The Retired Senior Volunteer Program
- Community Action
- First Assembly of God Board
- Housing and Services in Brookville and surrounding communities
- And other organizations
Also, Julie is a volunteer for Big Brothers/Big Sisters. She possesses a lot of experience and connections that will greatly benefit the Brookville Chamber of Commerce.
As part of WRC’s commitment to our community, we encourage our employees to serve on local boards and join civic organizations. We want to integrate our employees into the communities that support us. We encourage everyone to take an active role to improve the areas in which we live and work. By volunteering, we hope to encourage others in the community to work with us in serving the senior community.
Julie is honored to be appointed to the Brookville Chamber of Commerce Board. She’s eager to help advance the Chamber’s mission to stimulate the economic climate of the area, promote membership businesses and assist with civic activities which enhance the quality of life of our community.
