The Medication Aide coordinates resident care related to medication by working with all departments, the medication community, families and administrative staff to provide for resident needs with continuity and an adherence to the scope of practice and license for the community. Provides complete supervision of the medication room, pass techniques, documentation and supervision and provision of care related to medication in the community.
A Resident Aide is a paraprofessional staff member trained to provide personal care and to assist with activities of daily living, including help with medication administration. Aides provide help in personal hygiene, emotional support, and treatments. Responsibilities also include documenting observations on changes in resident’s behavior and help to provide socialization.
