WRC Charity Golf Outing a Success

(Brookville, PA) – WRC Senior Services’ 21st annual Charity Golf Outing, recently held at Pinecrest Country Club in Brookville, netted $27,000 to benefit older adults in financial need.

The funds raised go toward WRC Senior Services’ charitable care program. Charitable care describes the care provided to individuals who have exhausted their financial resources and cannot afford the full cost of their care.

Last year, WRC Senior Services provided nearly $520,000 in charitable care at its communities Laurelbrooke Landing in Brookville, Edgewood Heights in New Bethlehem, Highland Oaks in Shippenville, which recently moved to become Highland Oaks at Water Run in Clarion, and Ridgmont in Ridgway.

24 teams played in the four person scramble.

The Low Gross winner was Vision Creative Solutions’ team of Josh Greenblatt, Mark Powell, Dan Olson and Cole Cook.

There was a three-way tie for Low Net Winner between Luton’s Heating, Plumbing and Air Conditioning’s team of Dan Luton, Brian Luton, T.J. George and Bill Tanner; the Hawthorn/Reitz team of Bill Hawthorn, Carole Hawthorn, Rick Reitz and Judy Reitz; and Open Flow Energy’s team of Bill Deter, Rob Giles, Bob Deter and Brian Churlik.

The Fourth Place Low Net winner was Sherwin Williams’ team of Jason Shoup, Steve Hawk, Nate Jones and Adam Fox.

Skill prizes were also given out. Phil Weller of Poole Anderson Construction’s team won Longest Putt on Hole #2.

Rob Giles of Open Flow’s team was Closest to the Pin on Hole #15.

Rick Tote of The EADS Group’s team won Closest to the Line on Hole #7, and Mary Kay Slimak of WRC board member Beth Gerg’s team had the Longest Drive on Hole #17.
