(Ridgway, PA) – Ridgmont personal care community in Ridgway, part of WRC Senior Services, recently hired Mike Fernan of Ridgway as its new Administrator.
Fernan is a certified personal care home administrator and licensed nursing home administrator, working in healthcare and human services for the past 15 years.
He has his master’s degree in social work from the University of Pittsburgh.
Prior to coming to Ridgmont, Fernan was the Chief Compliance Officer and Quality Improvement Coordinator for Dickinson Center in Ridgway.
He served as administrator at another WRC Senior Services’ community Laurelbrooke Landing in Brookville from 2009-2011.

As the Administrator of Ridgmont, Fernan oversees the staff and quality of care for the residents. Fernan also manages operations and ensures Ridgmont follows all state regulations.
Fernan will also serve as the connection between Ridgmont and the Ridgway community.
Fernan was born and raised in Ridgway and moved back with his wife Anna, who is a speech therapist at Francis S. Grandinetti Elementary School in Ridgway, in 2009.
They have three children Lyla, Jack and Claire.
Fernan serves on the Ridgway Library Board of Directors.
He also coaches U6 soccer and is a member of the Bethlehem Lutheran Church.

Ridgmont was established in 1996 and is a community of WRC Senior Services, which has been providing care to older adults for 125 years.
