In Home Solutions Holds Skills Fair

(Brookville, PA) – In Home Solutions home health, home care and hospice agency recently held its Skills Fair for staff members.

In Home Solutions is an agency of WRC Senior Services which has been providing care for older adults for 125 years.

The Skills Fair is designed to give staff members practical training to improve caregiving skills and quality outcomes. About 30 IHS home care aides attended the fair.

This year’s Skills Fair, held at North Fork Heights residential community in Brookville, featured 11 stations, with each teaching a different topic related to client care.

The stations covered: scheduling and requests; infection control, tuberculosis and flu shots; benefits; oxygen use and safety by Dubois Medical Supply; end of life care; general safety; mission advancement; developing client rapport; proper body mechanics; the Laurels; and corporate compliance/HIPPA.  Staff members were able to move at their own pace and visit the stations in any order they choose.skills-fair-1

In Home Solutions began the Skills Fair in 2004 as an annual training event, and it is now held twice a year at North Fork Heights.

In Home Solutions recently moved its Clarion office from Main Street to Suite 104 of the Cricklewood Center, located at 1008 S. 5th Ave. in Clarion. IHS also has an administrative office in Brookville, located at 298 Main Street.
