Personal care is appropriate for individuals who do not need the intensive hands-on, nursing care provided in a nursing home but do need some assistance with day-to-day living, such as dressing, bathing and grooming, meal preparation and medication management. At WRC Senior Services, our personal care homes are Highland Oaks, Edgewood Heights, Ridgmont and Laurelbrooke Personal Care. For more information about these communities, use the links on the right.
You may be considering personal care if your loved one has a chronic disease that can be difficult to control such as diabetes or congestive heart failure, if they are having repeated falls, if memory loss is making you worry about their safety or they are forgetting to take their medication. Did you know that we actually see many of our residents’ health and wellness improve after they move to one of our personal care homes? They flourish surrounded by new friends and our professional staff with recreational activities to enjoy and regular, nutritious home-cooked meals.
